The Objective
A full reconstruction of Toronto’s Leslie Street, including all municipal servicing and TTC track tubs, from Commissioners Street to Queen Street. Our secondary objective was to connect the existing system to a new maintenance facility and intersection at Leslie Street and Queen Street.
Challenges
This project presented an enormous scope of work in a high-density area. The proximity to Lake Ontario and the abundance of groundwater at the site further complicated the project. On top of that, we had to adhere to a tight timeline and coordinate with a number of municipal and private partners.
The Result
The project was a great success. We finished on schedule and through value engineering saved our client over $1 million.
