The Objective

This is a unique project and one that necessitates a close working partnership between Clearway Utilities and Clearway Construction. For Clearway Utilities it consisted of telecommunication and hydro installation including street lighting, traffic signals and fibre optics, and removal and replacement of existing infrastructure.

Challenges

Like many projects in densely populated urban locations, the major challenge here is navigating traffic and pedestrian congestion. In this case, a close proximity to the University of Waterloo has further exacerbated the challenge.

The Result

Working in densely populated areas always requires enhanced Health & Safety procedures, and our team always rises to the occasion. Phases 1 and 2 of this project were completed on time and our contract has been extended. Phase 3 is scheduled to begin Spring 2019.
